Location & credentials
Be in New York for each session
Therapists can only see clients in states where they hold a license or registration. Every therapist who serves New York holds a New York license, so you need to be located in New York State during each session.
-
Anywhere in New York State
Not only New York City. From Brooklyn to Buffalo, what counts is that you’re in New York when the session starts.
-
Commuting from New Jersey or Connecticut
A session from a private room at your New York workplace counts. A session from home in New Jersey or Connecticut doesn’t, because we only see clients in California, Illinois, and New York.
-
Splitting time with California or Illinois
Some of our therapists serve all three states, so you may be able to keep working with the same therapist from any of them. If you’ll be traveling anywhere else, let your therapist know ahead of time.
